Back at It

Well blogging buddies, I'm spending some time playing the substitute teacher today. In fact, I am a high school science teacher today. I would be lying if I remembered a lick of Chemistry or Physics. I don't dare tell my students they will never use this in the "real" world.

I have to say though, it fells really great to be back at it. I was a little bit nervous that I wouldn't remember the names of students or have lost any bit of authority that I may have possessed prior to today. I will tell y'all, I've still got it. Can I get a whoop, whoop!?!

While substitute teaching isn't really teaching, it still feels great to be back in the school setting. All of the days where I felt a little out of place or off-kilter do not seem to matter when I am back at it. I can't believe that I forgot how much food teenagers consume. Holy buckets! Talk about a bottomless pit! Then there is the lack of filter. Yes, I'm standing five feet from you. Yes, I can hear everything you are saying. Come on kidlets! Don't you ever forget....
